SORSOGON CITY, Philippines — The Dios Mabalos Po Foundation, Inc. (DMPF) actively participated in the Philippine Navy’s Mobilization Exercise (MOBEX) 2025 held in Barangay Santo Niño, Bacon District, Sorsogon City — an area that ceased to exist as an independent municipality when it merged into the component city of Sorsogon in December 2000.As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare, DMPF partnered with Risen Saviour Mission through the Philippine Navy to distribute 62 boxes of Manna Pack Rice and choco drinks to 61 identified undernourished children in the community. Shelmed’s presence for HapagAsa stood as a promise for a healthier future for the undernourished children of Bacon, Sorsogon.
The foundation also supported the delivery of essential medical, dental, legal, and spiritual services provided by volunteer doctors, dentists, legal professionals, and clergy. The event was made possible through the cooperation of the Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NavForSol), Navy Reservists, Philippine National Police, barangay officials, and community security forces, who worked hand-in-hand to ensure the safety, order, and success of the activity.
The NavForSol team was headed by Lt. Alvin J. Mamansag, Philippine Navy, while the DMPF team was led by Clinton Villanueva with Don Bosco On-the-Job Trainees Jenelyn Llena Belludo and Arlene Rivero providing additional support.
This year’s MOBEX served not only as a humanitarian outreach but also as a platform for the Philippine Navy and Navy Reservists to introduce recruitment opportunities, particularly targeting the youth. The initiative underscored the vital role of the younger generation in nation-building and defending national sovereignty.
DMPF echoed the Navy’s call to reject misinformation and to stand firm in asserting the country’s rights over the West Philippine Sea, encouraging the public to share only verified and factual information.
Special thanks go to Commodore Salvador Lavapie Jr., Commander of the Naval Forces Southern Luzon, for leading MOBEX with a compassionate heart, as well as to the volunteer health professionals, security forces, and Barangay Santo Niño officials for their indispensable contributions.
“It was an honor to work alongside our uniformed personnel, civic leaders, and dedicated volunteers in this mission of service and national awareness,” the foundation stated, reaffirming its support for programs that combine humanitarian assistance with national security awareness.
