DMPF has gone to Palawan, Southern Leyte, and Siargao in response to the devastation brought on by Typhoon Odette. Our donors Familia Tchou and friends supported “Grace on Board – SAKAYAN,” a project initiated by Med Villanueva in response to the request of Bishop Broderick Pabillio for boats to be provided for those who lost theirs during the typhoon.
Villages in Southern Leyte also received filters and tanks from pastors of the Seventh Day Adventists, facilitated by focal person Adelaida Ortillano. These were brought by Sola Gratia of the USA and DMPF as their Philippine partner.
Boxes of Manna Rice from Risen Savior Missions USA were also provided to these communities and delivered by DMPF with the assistance of Coast Guards and trucking companies.
Vitamin Angels Inc also provided prenatal vitamins and children’s vitamin A in these communities.
