DMPF visits Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica’s Center of Spirituality in Tagaytay

Due to the eruption of the Taal Volcano, the retreat participants of St. Scholastica’s Center of Spirituality in Tagaytay have cancelled, leaving the center’s freezers full with ingredients meant to feed the participants.

Dios Mabalos Po Foundation will use the meat, chicken, and fish from their freezers to feed the evacuees instead.

Eighty trays of bread was purchased and sixty-eight trays of eggs were donated. The evacuees prepared the sandwiches themselves, which was a good community building activity.

Donations have also come in for flatware, bowls, and cutleries were provided to the Tanauan South evacuation center. This is the initial step to community kitchen preparedness, enabling the community to prepare, package, and share the food amongst themselves.
